Chelsey Cross's Bio
Chelsey started her CrossFit journey as she was studying to become a Physical Education teacher at Missouri Southern State University 2013. Chelsey graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Science Education and served as a 3rd grade teacher in the Joplin School District until February of 2017.
As a competitive CrossFit Athlete with an ability to teach others proper movement, nutrition and performance, becoming a CrossFit coach was a natural fit for the next step in her career. With the support of her husband and young son Jace, Chelsey received her CF-L1 in January of 2017 and went on to get her CrossFit Kids certificate in March 2017.
Chelsey qualified for Regionals in 2017 finishing 26th in the North Central, argueably the most competitive Region in the world and makes her Rookie debut in Nashville, TN at the Central Regionals as an Individual Competitor. Chelsey was also a Rookie in 2016 in the Women’s AsRx Division at The Kill Cliff Granite Games and the Women’s Elite Team at Wodapalooza in Miami, FL. Chelsey’s background in education and her competitive history gives her the tools necessary to help the first time CrossFitter or the seasoned vet get exactly what they want out of their fitness journey.
